The Nollywood industry has been thrown into a mourning state as a prominent Yoruba actor, Mr Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri passed away at the age of 44.

It was gathered that Sisi Quadri passed away in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness. According to reports, the actor gave up the ghost at an undisclosed hospital, where he was receiving treatment. Though the circumstances surrounding his death still remain sketchy, a report has it that the actor had been battling with kidney issues for some time and it may be the cause of his demise.

The news of Sisi Quadri’s death has also been confirmed by the President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAM) Bolaji Amusan aka Mr Latin.

Mr Latin took to his Instagram page, to post a short message saying, “Hmm may God grant him eternal rest”.

Also, one of his colleague, Tunde Olayusuf, while confirming the loss, shared a picture of Sisi Quadri, with the caption: “Everything in the world is according to the will of Allah, from Allah, we have come, and unto him, we shall all return – May God rest your soul Bro #iamsisiquadir.”

Sisi Quadri is well known for his role in the movie “Seniyan Seranko,” which was released on December 4, 2004.
