The remains of Prince Bola Ajibola, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice was yesterday, laid to rest according to Muslim rites amid glowing tributes in Abeokuta, Ogun state, South West Nigeria.

Among dignitaries who graced funeral ceremony were former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Speaker House of Representative, Honourable Femi Gbajabimilia and host of others too numerous to mention.

Vice President Osibanjo who described the late former Attorney General as a thorough bred lawyer, disclosed that he met Prince Ajibola when he was just 28 years old.

Osibanjo said that Prince Ajibola then appointed him as his Personal Assistant while he was chief Justice of the federation.

He disclosed that he horned his legal skills under the tutelage of the renowned luminary, who over the years distinguished himself in the law profession.

Others who paid tribute to the late renowned global Arbitrator, described him as a true Nigerian with strong passion for his legal profession.

It would be recalled that the family of Prince Ajibola announced his passage early Sunday morning.

The cause of his death was not disclosed but that Prince Ajibola died after a brief illness.

As it’s the custom of his Islamic religion, he buried same day in Abeokuta, according to Muslim rites.

The date for the burial ceremony would be disclosed by family members.
