President Muhammadu Buhari is currently  meeting with political leaders of the Niger Delta region at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting which started shortly after noon is been attended by governors from Delta, Ondo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Edo, Cross Rivers, Imo, Akwa-Ibom and Abia,  and Bayelsa States.

According to a source, the delegations from Niger-delta were led by Chief Edwin Clerke to attend the meeting geared towards providing a lasting solution to the region issue.

Among other stakeholders at the meeting were His Royal Majesty, Chief Diette Spiff, former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke, former governor of Akwa Ibom, Obong Victor Atta, Ankio Briggs, Alabo Graham Douglas, Timi Alaibe, Mr. Nduka Ogbegbena and a host of others.
