A former President of the United States Bill Clinton has made a stunning revelation in his memoir titled “Citizen: My Life After The White House”.

Clinton, in the book, revealed he was unable to sleep for two years after his wife, Hillary Clinton, lost to former US President Donald Trump in 2016.

Clinton also disclosed that his wife’s defeat at the poll made him prone and very susceptible to “outbursts of rage”.

He wrote: “The whole thing is hard for me to write. I couldn’t sleep for two years after the election. I was so angry, I wasn’t fit to be around.

“I apologize to all those who endured my outbursts of rage, which lasted for years and bothered or bored people who thought it pointless to rehash things that couldn’t be changed.”

Clinton in the very revealing and riveting account described the 2016 election, in which Hu’s wife, Hillary lost to Trump as the “darkest election possible in the United States”

The New Diplomat reports that Hilary Clinton was defeated by Donald Trump in the November 8, 2016, presidential election.

Though Hilary Clinton lost the election by capturing only 232 electoral votes to Trump’s 306, she won the popular vote by more than 2.8 million votes or 2.1% of the voter base.

She is the fifth presidential candidate in U.S. history to win the popular vote but lose the election.
