The presidency has revealed how Nigeria’s helmsman, Bola Tinubu, will celebrate his 73rd birthday on Saturday, March 29.

This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy.

According to the statement there will be a special prayer session at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday.

The statement added that he prayers would serve as an opportunity for the President to express gratitude for God’s guidance in his leadership journey.

The event coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and comes just two months before Tinubu’s administration marks its second anniversary.

The statement maintained that the decision underscored Tinubu’s commitment to spiritual reflection and the nation’s collective well-being

“Choosing a prayer session reflects President Tinubu’s dedication to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being and his commitment to seeking divine guidance, insight, and strength in leadership.

“He believes collective prayer is a powerful tool for guiding the nation towards progress and harmony,” the statement read.

Tinubu has also urged Nigerians to join the prayers in spirit, whether at their places of worship or elsewhere, as a sign of unity and shared destiny.

“I am deeply thankful to Allah for the gift of life and the privilege to serve this great nation.

“As I mark another birthday and look forward to our second anniversary, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria.

“I urge all citizens to pray for divine guidance, unity, and healing for our land. Together, we shall overcome challenges and build a nation where every citizen thrives,” Tinubu said.

The statement further highlighted the President’s unwavering commitment to consolidating democratic gains, fostering economic recovery, and promoting national cohesion.

“The President reaffirms his commitment to advancing economic reforms, strengthening national security, and expanding opportunities for all citizens,” it added.

As Tinubu’s administration also approaches its two-year milestone, the statement concluded that the birthday prayers serve as a reminder of his belief in divine intervention as a cornerstone for national development and unity.
