The organisers of the HEADIES announced the full list of nominees for the 2022 edition of the prestigious Nigerian music award on their official Instagram account on Tuesday.

This year, the nominations are diverse with some newbies like Portable, and Magixx making the list for the first time.

Hits like Wizkid’s “Essence” and Ayra Starr’s “Bloody Samaritan” bagged multiple nominations.

In the most coveted category, the Next Rated Award nominees include Ayra Starr, Bnxn, Lojay, Ruger and Zinoleesky. Organisers of the Headies awards have announced a 2022 Bentley as the prize for the winner of the Next Rated award category.

The 15th Annual Headies Music Awards will hold on September 4, 2022, at the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, USA.

It marks the first time that the Headies Award, formerly known as the Hip Hop World Awards, will hold outside Nigeria since its inception in 2006.
