A senior lecturer of the Federal Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, Mr Ayatu Ikani Momoh has reportedly slumped and died during a meeting with his kinsmen in Offa, Kwara State.

It was learnt that all efforts by members of his local community to keep the Lecturer who was in the Department of Mass Communication of the institution alive failed.

Ayatu who hailed from Kogi was the secretary of Igala local community in Offa.

According to Daily Trust, a source described the deceased as “full of life” when he attended the Jumat Prayer on Friday.

“He was a very hard-working lecturer, the source said.

“His body had been deposited at the morgue of General hospital, Offa.”

Confirming the incident was Head of Media and Publicity of the institution, Olayinka Iroye, who noted that the deceased will be buried in his hometown in Ofu Local Government of Kogi State, on Tuesday.

“Mr Ayatu served the Department and School of Communication and Information Technology in various capacities; including Staff Adviser, Examination Officer and lately the Coordinator of the Printing Press.”
