Less than four days to the presidential election, some suspected armed thugs, on Monday, attacked and razed down the administrative offices of the Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi state.

It was gathered that the armed men stormed the local government with high graded explosives.

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, William Ovye Aya, has also confirmed the incident.

According to him, the command had commenced an investigation to unravel the cause of the attack.

It would be recalled that Kogi state has been witnessing several cases of terrible fatal explosions

The Islamic State-backed faction of Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), formerly known as Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād, claimed responsibility for a car bomb explosion that killed about four people and injured several others in the Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State in January.
