Attempts by President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government to enthrone enduring peace in the crisis ridden South East ahead of the general elections, is gradually paying off as the international terrorist and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Simon Ekpa a.k.a Ifeanyi Njoku was arrested Thursday morning by the Finnish police.

His arrest followed series of protest letters by the Nigerian government to the Finland government.

Since the news of his arrest filtered in, Nigerians who expressed excitement over the development were of the view that permanent peace would eventually returned to the south east which has been crippled by the nefarious activities of IPOB members.

Undoubtedly, Simon Ekpa ‘s men have unleashed unimaginable proportion of mayhem in the South East, in their trail, leaving most women widows, children fatherless and properties destroyed.

A network monitored by The New Diplomat showed that Nigerians were indeed happy with the arrest of the terrorists.

Exercept:

Adaeze Ogun:

Thank God the Finland government was eventually able to effect his arrest for fomenting trouble and violence in the South East.

Godwin Ude:

We want to see that he is prosecuted and eventually sentence to life imprisonment or death to pay for all the atrocities he has committed by killing his people in the guise of fighting for their freedom.

Chinyere Obi;

The idiot has long been disowned long ago by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

Chiedu Ezeanah:

A spoiler making money from the mindless massacre of innocent people in the South East.

John Nkwo:

We thank President Buhari. He meant business when he promised to enthrone an enduring democracy to Nigeria through the conduct of peaceful and credible elections.
