Lagos State Police Command has revealed the identity of killer cop involved in the gruesome murder of Mrs Bolanle Raheem, a pregnant female lawyer who was shot dead on Christmas day in the Ajah axis of Lagos while returning from a church service.
The command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a post on his twitter handle, on Monday, revealed the killer-cop as ASP Dambri Vandi.
According to him, Mr Vandi has been detained by the State’s Central Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation.
He also promised that investigation into the death of the lawyer will be “swift.”
It would be recalled that the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Abiodun Alabi, yesterday equally met with the Nigerian Bar Association, (NBA) following the death of their colleague.
The moment was captured in photos as he assured justice would be served.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have continued to express anguish over the murder of Mrs. Raheem on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter.
While reacting, Tweeps criticized the Nigeria Police Force and called for lasting solutions to the police brutality in the country.

I think a lasting solution should be implemented to issues like this, lasting solution is the best justice. How can we prevent this from happening again?? Nobody would have cared if this had happened to a young guy that can easily be blamed for misbehaving.

You people are wicked, because the NBA is involved you are posting here publicly, if it was just a common jobless Nigerian going about his/her daily hustle with no affiliations or connections, it will be swept under the rug!
The was once a country.
Double standard everywhere.

This is honestly sad. Its more upsetting to know that a lot of this happens regularly that goes unnoticed. A lot of these policemen are always itchy to use their guns.
You’ll be surprised to know that this Ajiwe Police Station was renovated and built beautifully by generous.

“Justice will prevail”? Where is justice for Silvester Oromoni, Bamishe, Usifo Ataga and many others?

Why are you mixing up the whole matter?
I think we should situate our comments in the right perspectives because those cases you mentioned are not similar to Bolanle Raheem’s case.

A young man was killed few weeks ago. His matter isn’t heard of again. Is justice better dispensed bcos one person is associated with a powerful organization? What happens to equity and justice for poor people?
Benjamin, what is the update on that boys murder by your men?
