The Three suspected Police officers fingered in assaulting an unidentified motorist in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, South-South, Nigeria, are presently cooling off in custody at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The officers are Adejoh Siaka and Friday Obaka, both inspectors, while the third is Ndiwa Kpuebari, a sergeant.

A tweet from the Force spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, Abuja, uploaded the photo of the three officers with the caption: “These are the men who slapped a man on the road in Rivers. They reported at the Force Headquarters today. Trial will soon commence. We will update you as soon as possible,”

It would be recalled that one of the officers, armed with an AK-47 rifle was seen in a viral video yesterday, slapping an unidentified motorist after attempted moves to flog him proved abortive.

Another officer was also filmed shoving a woman, said to be the man’s wife, into a waiting car.

Mr Adejobi who took to his Twitter handle immediately to condemned the act, described the actions of the officers as “barbaric” and “does not portray the police in a good light at all”.

“I wonder how a manh that manner,” the spokesperson added.
