Television actor, Morgan Steven, has been found dead by police in his home after neighbours reported that they hadn’t heard from him or seen him in a few days.
Steven was found dead in his kitchen by the police after they carried out a wellness check in his house. He was 70.
Morgan was pronounced dead at the scene and police have confirmed that they do not suspect foul play.
At this time, police believe that it is most likely that Morgan died of natural causes.
The actor was best known for appearing in television shows including Fame, Melrose Place, and A Year in the Life.
Many will remember the actor’s stint on 1982’s Fame, in which he played troubled teacher David Reardon for two seasons.
In the 1992 American soap series Melrose Place, Morgan played recurring character Nick Diamond in a number of episodes.
The show was a spin-off of Beverly Hills, 90210, and Nick acted as the family attorney for the Parezi family, including Jack Parezi (Antonio Sabato Jr.), Bobby Parezi (John Enos III.), and Vince Parezi (David Groh).
Morgan played Jack Gardner, son of family patriarch Joe Gardner, in 1987’s short-lived drama series A Year In The Life.
Aside from these more major roles, Morgan also made guest appearances on plenty of memorable shows over the years.
He played Paul Northridge in much-loved sitcom The Waltons, which ran from 1979 to 1981.
While his character only appeared in one episode, where he married Erin Walton (Mary McDonough), he went on to be included in follow-up TV movies like A Wedding on Walton’s Mountain, Mother’s Day On Walton’s Mountain and A Day For Thanks On Walton’s Mountain.
He made guest appearances on series including Murder, She Wrote, One Day at a Time, and Murder One.
Morgan’s last acting credit was in 1999’s Walker, Texas Ranger, where he played Max Henson in an episode entitled The Principal.
The star worked alongside some huge celebrities throughout his career, including the likes of Chuck Norris and Heather Locklear.
The star was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and died in Los Angeles, California.
Fans took to social media to pay tribute to the late star, whose earliest acting credit dates back to 1970.
“#RIP Morgan Stevens,” wrote one fan Mirror_man69, alongside a picture of the star in his younger days.
