The Anambra Police Command disclosed he has arrested the suspended Transition Committee Chairman, Nnewi North Local Government Area, LGA, Mbazulike Iloka, over his alleged involvement in the death of his wife, Chidiebere Iloka.

The police spokesperson, Anambra Command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.

Ikenga, however, called for caution from the public, saying that the case is being investigated as an autopsy will prove the cause of the wife’s death.

“He is in our custody now and we urge the members of the public to be patient as the autopsy shall prove the cause of the wife’s death. Meanwhile, investigation is still ongoing please,” Ikenga added.

It would be recalled that Anambra State Government, Friday, suspended the LG boss following the circumstances that led to the death of his wife, Late Mrs Chidiebere IIoka, including alleged possible homicide.

According to the Governor, Iloka’s suspension remains effective pending the outcome of the investigations.
