In its determination to curb crimes and other negative vices in Edo State, the police weekend in Benin arrested one Omokaro Edison, a dismissed police corporal for parading himself as an officer of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to a statement weekend in Benin by the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Kontongs Bello Omokaro was nabbed while extorting money from people.

Bello, a superintendent of police said that the ex-policeman confessed to the crime, assuring that he will soon be docked for Impersonation.

He emphasized the determination of the new Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abutu Yaro to continue to sectorise its tactical unit for a more robust patrol and intelligence- base policing.
