Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State expressed his heartfelt gratitude to renowned Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage, along with all residents who contributed to what he called the vibrant atmosphere of the #GreaterLagosCountdown2025.

In a statement released after the event on Wednesday, Sanwo-Olu thanked the artists who performed at the New Year countdown, saying, “A heartfelt thank you to the incredible artists who honoured Lagos’ call to perform and made the night unforgettable—Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Olamide, Seyi Vibez, and many more.

“Your talent and passion lit up the stage and brought joy to every corner of Lagos. Last night, Lagos came alive in a way that only Lagos can!”

The New Diplomat reports that the concert held across Lagos State on Tuesday night.

It held across five major locations in the state—Ikorodu, Badagry, Ikeja, Lagos Island, and Epe—with Tafawa Balawa Square being the main stage at Lagos Island.
