President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday received the Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Dimeji Bankole at the State House, Abuja.

Daniel and Bankole were led by the APC Caretaker Chairman, Mai Mala-Buni, who also doubles as the governor of Yobe State.

Recall that the duo of Gbenga Daniel and Bankole had earlier defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Before his defection, Gbenga Daniel was the Governor of Ogun State Governor between 2003-2011, and also, Director General, Atiku-Obi campaign team in the 2019 General election.

On the other hand, Dimeji Bankole had previously served as an Member of the House of Representatives and also the Speaker between 2007-2011.

In addition, Bankole was the Gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in the 2019 General Election in Ogun State

Governors of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru and Kebbi State, Atiku Bagudu were also in attendance at the villa.
