The president, according to a statement by his chief spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina, said Buhari would participate in general debate at the event during which he would also deliver what he described as the country’s national statement.
Citing the theme for the session: “Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet,” Adesina said Buhari would also join other world leaders at the welcoming reception to be hosted by the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and as well hold a bilateral meeting with the UN scribe.
