‘Building bridges across Asia’, a recent edition of THISDAY newspaper, on its cover page, aptly captioned the powerful image from a meeting between Nigeria’s Ambassador to Thailand, His Excellency, Ambassador Oma Djebah and his South Korean counterpart in Thailand, Ambassador Lee Wook-hean.

Ambassador Djebah, the founding Publisher and Chairman of The New Diplomat and a former top Editor of THISDAY was recently received by Ambassador Wook-hean at the Embassy of South Korea in Bangkok as the envoy of Nigeria continues to muster strategic alliance across Southeast Asia on behalf of the government of Nigeria.

Since Ambassador Djebah’s arrival in Bangkok, efforts by the Nigerian Mission there to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Thailand had been in top gear with focus on trade and investment in key sectors with wide value-chain effects.

The New Diplomat had last week reported that Ambassador Djebah hosted private sector players in the agricultural sector in Thailand as he seeks to match-make Thai and Nigerian business owners in the agricultural and agro-allied sector with the aim of driving federal government’s policy of ensuring food security and boosting agricultural productivity, as well as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the country.
