The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has received the certificate of return following his emergence as the flagbearer of the party in the 2023 presidential election.

The party in a tweet posted via its Twitter handle @NgLabour, on Friday, made the announcement.

The tweet reads “Mr Peter Obi Receives Labour Party Certificate of Returns as its Presidential Candidate for 2023 presidential elections. Congratulations!!”

It would be recalled a major feud had earlier broke out in the Party as a faction of the party elected Jude Ezenwafor as its presidential candidate for the forthcoming 2023 General elections.

His candidacy was affirmed through voice votes by the delegates from across the 36 states of the federation and FCT.

However, Ezenwafor has now withdrawn his ambition, saying he did it for personal reasons.
