…As Okpe Youths Endorse Him For Council Chair

By John Oghojafor

Certainly not the wealthiest in Sapele but his name rings a bell among the needy, the helpless, the hopeless, the less privileged and the physically challenged.  There is milk of human kindness running in his blood and he just cannot sit by watching someone nearby in need without making effort within his capacity to offer help.  Indeed, the name has become a brand among the youths, the women and the aged in the ancient city of Sapele.

He is Mr. Eugene Inoaghan, and accomplished and successful business man, a rubber merchant of no mean repute, a committed PDP chieftain and of course, the PDP chairmanship candidate for Sapele Local Government Council election.

Doing what he knows how best, he recently gathered some widows and less privilege in Sapele and decided to put smile in their faces.  The times are hard and even the rich who have more than enough for themselves go into hiding for fear of the unknown, but certainly not so with Inoaghan.  He strongly believes that God is the giver of wealth and the divine purpose is to better the lives of as many as need assistance.

Beneficiaries of Inoaghan’s Empowerment Initiative

So, when he gathered the widows and less privileged in Sapele, it was no surprise because he has been into the business of reaching out to people for over three decades.  He gathered the women in Okpe Hall in Sapele recently where he handed envelopes containing N20,000 each to enable them engage in petty trading and farming to assist themselves and their children.

Their joy knew no bound as the beneficiaries involuntarily engaged themselves in a prolong prayer, asking God to bless and enlarge the coast of Mr. Eugene Inoaghan for showing compassion to them.  They danced and praised God for using Inoaghan to address their problems.

Advising the women to be prudent with the little they have gotten, Mr. Inoaghan stated that if properly managed, the beneficiaries could turn the money around in their small scale trading businesses and with God’s blessing they could become great with it.

Those who benefitted from the Mr. Inoaghan empowerment include Mrs. Christiana Umukoro, Mrs. Oserada Queen, Mrs Stella Umeboro, Mrs Donorene Freeborn, Mrs. Otutu Edna, Mrs. Rachael Mene, Mrs. Stella Udugadi Mrs. Felicia Akama, Mrs. Eunice Cleverly Mrs. Esther Eretomi among others.

Meanwhile, the executive of Okpe Youths Council, Sapele Local Government chapter have adopted Mr. Eugene Inoaghan as the PDP flag bearer for the chairmanship of the Council in the forthcoming Local Government election slated for January 6, 2018.

The youth who paid a solidarity visit to Mr. Inoaghan in Sapele recently, was led by the Coordinator, Comrade Eseoghene Mebradu.  Others in the entourage include coordinators from five districts that make up the Local Government chapter.  They are Comrade Ajuya David from Ozue district; Comrade Efe Akpomiemie Harrison from Amukpe district; Comrade Efe Abeke from Sapele district, Comrade Sunday Akpolo from Ugborhen district and Comrade Peter Pemu from Elume district.

In his remarks, Inoaghan thanked the youth body for the confidence they have reposed in him, assuring that if elected as the next chairman of Sapele Local Government Council, he will do his best to carry everyone along and attract development to the area.

In a related development, Sapele-based philanthropist and PDP chieftain, Mr. Eugene Inoaghan has donated several books and writing materials to students of Eziafa Grammar School, Amukpe, Macedonia Baptist School and Ethiope Primary School, all in Sapele.

Addressing  the principal, teachers and students in Ezeafia Grammar School, Mr. Inoaghan disclosed that the donation was just a token from him to assist the students in learning, urging the teachers to put in their best in the education of the children, adding that in so doing they are building a strong nation.

Inoaghan also advised the students to take their studies seriously in order to justify the assistance they are getting now, adding that the future of the nation belongs to them.

Teachers and pupils in the respective schools expressed joy for the donation as they danced and praised the PDP chieftain for his kind gesture, praying God to bless him and his family abundantly.

He also instituted a scholarship scheme for the best students in mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and agricultural science, urging the principal to get him the names of such students who will benefit from the scholarship scheme.

In company of Mr. Inoaghan were Comrade Benson Okorodudu (S.A to Governor Okowa), Mr. Austyn Opubor, Hon. Mrs. Philo Asama, Mr. Godwin Eru, Hon. Henry Omosuvie, Prince Joseph Atseyinku, Mr. Samuel Ifude, Mr. Ufuoma Ikoge, Mr. Sunday Edeki, Mr. Paul Ogheneochuko Ego, among others.
