Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, daughter of former Delta State Governor James Ibori and Evelyn Oboro both of whom were involved in a stalemated PDP House of Reps primary in Ethiope Federal Constituency and Okpe, Sapele Uvwie Constituency respectively have won the party rerun primary which held at Oghara and Sapele a moment ago.

Erhiatake who is the member representing Ethiope West Local Government Area in the Delta State House of Assembly tied 34 apiece with Igbakpa in the first round on Sunday but polled 42 votes to Igbakpa’s 22 votes in the rerun primary just concluded at Oghara Stadium a while ago.

At the Sapele Stadium, the venue of the Okpe, Sapele, Uvwie rerun, PDP House of Reps Primary, Hon. Evelyn Oboro polled 45 votes to beat Napoleon Gbinije who scored 36 while Hon. Efe Age the incumbent House of Reps member scored 18 votes.

As of the time of filing this report, all roads lead to Asaba, the Delta State Capital where the first PDP Governorship primary ever to be decided by ad hoc delegates will hold tomorrow.

The New Diplomat learnt that a tight security arrangement is being put in place to ensure a hitch-free governorship primary.
