The group implored the party’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, to as a matter of expediency convene, a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting to resolve outstanding issues affecting the party.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the spokesperson for the group, Alaibi Joseph, also demanded the immediate resignation of the PDP National Secretary, Sen Samuel Anyanwu, who, earlier in the week emerged as the party’s governorship candidate in Imo State.

It would be recalled that the PDP has been enmeshed in series of internal crisis that eventually led to the suspension of its National Chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.
