Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Local Government Affairs, Hon. Dr. Joseph Otirhue has inaugurated different groups set up by him on the platform of the PDP to ensure total victory for all PDP candidates from national to the state, in the 2019 election.

 

 Addressing the groups in Mereje, Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State on Saturday December 14, shortly before the inauguration, the Special Adviser on Local Government Affairs, stated that he embarked on the setting up of the various groups because he wants to ensure that PDP records total victory in the forthcoming election.

 According to him, the aim of the groups which include Concerned Women for Otirhue, Able-bodied Men and Women for Otirhue, Market Women for Otirhue, Concerned Youths for Otirhue, Elders, etc, was to ensure that they go all out to canvass and convince the people from door to door to vote for all the candidates of the PDP to secure hundred percent victory in the forthcoming election.

 He said: “All the various groups that are present here this evening should go all out en masse to solicit for votes for our great party PDP so that come 2019 PDP and all its candidates from the federal to the state level will come out victoriously.

 “This is the time for us to vote the party that has brought hunger to us out of position.  This is the time to vote out the party that has perpetrated killings across the country. There is no safety and security anymore.  People no longer sleep with their eyes close. And so, come 2019, APC should be swept out of power.

 “So, our great PDP members and Okpe people that are present here, I enjoined you to take this responsibility as a call to duty to go from gate to gate and ensure that all the nooks and crannies of Okpe land give their votes to PDP.”

 The PDP stalwart whose monumental achievements as a former Okpe Local Government chairman remains unbeaten, urged all Okpe people to cast their votes for Alh. Atiku Abubakar as president, Hon. Evelyn Oboro for Senate, Hon. Efe Afe for House of Reps, Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa for a second time as governor of Delta State and Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as member representing Okpe State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly.

 High point of the occasion was the inauguration members of the various groups who adorn themselves with beautiful attires.

 Present at the occasion were PDP party leaders including Chief Sir Tom Amioku, PDP chairman for Okpe Local Government Area, Chief Efe Uko, Hon. Efe Afe, Prince Gordon Ejinyere, PDP Woman Leader, Mrs. Sakpaide, Chief Mrs. Amioku, among others.
