About sixty-six passengers onboard an Air Peace aircraft from Abuja have been successfully evacuated as one of the plane’s tyres bursted while landing at the Ilorin Airport in Kwara State.
Also, six crew members disembarked successfully following the incident which occurred at about 10.30 am on Saturday.
The B737-500 airplane with registration number 5N-BQR could not taxii to the tarmac, as the craft tyre bursted. The impact was said to have been felt inside the cabin which made luggages to fall on passengers onboard the plane.
However, no one was said to have been injured in the incident and no life was lost.
Meanwhile, a team of engineers has been deployed to fix the tyre and has been relocated from the runaway where it crash landed.
