Panic escalated on Saturday as a petrol-laden tanker exploded in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

It was gathered that the exploded tanker affected and burnt two articulated trucks, one 18-seater bus, two commercial cabs and three motorcycles in Iyana-Ajia, Egbeda area, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The incident occurred around 4:30 PM on the Ibadan section of the Ibadan-Ife Expressway, near the ongoing construction of the Iyana-Ajia bridge.

As of the time of filing this report, there are no reports of causalities.
