*Delegation Makes Case For Reconstruction To Asaba-Illah-Ebu-Inyele-Ahia Federal Road…

The people of Illah Kingdom in Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State got their hopes revived on this week when their strong delegation met with  the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator( Obarisi) Ovie Omo-Agege in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory(FCT)

The delegation pleaded with Omo-Agege to use his office to facilitate and support the reconstruction of  the Asaba-Illah-Ebu-Inyele-Ahia federal road.

It was gathered that the road in recent times had been dilapidated and has now become a death trap to motorists and other users.Omo-Agege Revives Hope Of Illah

This sad development according to the people has added to their sufferings and made the residents of Illah, Ugbolu and Ebu communities unable to link Asaba, the state capital because of the bad road.

This has caused untold hardship making it difficult for people of Aniocha/Oshimili to travel to Abuja by road since that is the shortest route to the nation’s capital, the delegation explained.

Senator Omo-Agege who represents Delta State Central Senatorial District,  and doubles as chairman of the Senate Committee on Constitution Review  while appreciating the visiting team, urged the people to support the APC led federal government’s programmes and policies.

The Deputy Senate President promised to initiate required action to ensure that the road received the needed attention soonest by the Federal Government’s designated federal agency or ministry.

According to the delegation, the visit was a sign of  great relief and a hope for the people of Oshimili as their cries and lamentations was receiving attention.

The delegation comprise  Engineer Chief Peter Ofuase, the Ikeobi of Illah; Ogbuenyi Ossy Gbemudu, the Omelaora 1 of illah and Ogbuefi (Barr) Alex Onwuadiamu (DCOS), among others.

In a related development,  a letter from the President-General of Illah Development Union of Nigeria, Professor Lawrence Ezemonye was presented to the Deputy Senate President by the head of the delegation, Ogbuenyi Ofuase.
