Deputy Senate President (DSP), Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has heaped praises on Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, one of the national leader of All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State Governor, as he turns 69, Monday.

In a congratulatory message released by Mr Yomi Odunuga, Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to DSP Omo-Agege, the Senator representing Delta Central in the Senate sent his best wishes to Tinubu, appreciating him for his selfless service to Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.

According to Omo-Agege, Tinubu has written his name in gold with his contribution to Lagos development while he was governor, stating that Tinubu’s achievements can never be forgotten in the history of the state.

Omo-Agege described the APC Chieftain as the architect of modern Lagos State, adding that during his administration, Lagos State enjoyed lots of successes in the education sector, while he also initiated and commissioned several infrastructural projects to meet the needs of the fast-growing population of the state.

He also prayed to God to grant Tinubu good health.

The statement reads, “Without question, you have written your name in gold. You have devoted your life to public service with extraordinary courage, resilience and tenacity of purpose. We appreciate your patriotic commitment to nation building. You are the architect of modern Lagos and the story of the state would be incomplete without you. On behalf of the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, I send my congratulations and best wishes and thank you for your selfless service to humanity and the nation as you mark your 69th birthday.”

Meanwhile, Tinubu has landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano State, ahead of his 12th colloquium scheduled for Monday, March 29,2020.

The former governor was welcome by a large crowd who are excited that the state is hosting the 2021 Tinubu colloquium.

The New Diplomat had reported that Bola Tinubu colloquium, is an annual programme organized to celebrate the birthday of the former Governor.

This year marks the 12th edition of the colloquium which was conceived in 1999 by Tinubu’s close friends and associates.

Also, President George Weah of Liberia and Dani Rodrik, a professor of International Political Economy at John F Kennedy School of Government, Havard University have been confirmed to deliver keynote address on political issues at the 12th Tinubu Colloquium.
