Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has congratulated a former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe on his 61st birthday.

In a personal congratulatory message to the prominent Ijaw leader, the lawmaker representing Delta Central at the Upper Legislative Chambers lauded the former minister, whom he described as a “political bridge builder” in the Niger Delta, for his services to Delta State, the Niger Delta Region and Nigeria

Senator Omo-Agege who is also the leader of the APC caucus in the South-South geopolitical zone described Orubebe’s rise from the position Supervisory Councillor in his Burutu Local to  national limelight as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as “a reward for his hard work, patriotism commitment and
diligent service”.

The lawmaker thanked the former minister for his friendship and contributions to Delta State, the Niger Delta region and Nigeria as a whole.

Omo-Agege wished the former minister good health and greater prosperity in the years ahead.

“I heartily felicitate with you, your family and join your friends and political associates to celebrate with you on your birthday and wish you good health and greater prosperity in the years ahead.

“While I thank you for your strong leadership and friendship, please accept my best wishes, not only on this milestone but for the important contributions you have made to our dear state, Niger Delta region and our country Nigeria,” Omo-Agege said.

Recall that Elder Godsday Orubebe served as Minister of Niger Delta during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan and he was one of the ardent supporters of the administration at that time.
