The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has congratulated the Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.

The congratulatory message was contained in a release personally signed by the Deputy Senate President.

The Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District lauded his fellow lawmaker for devoting his life to public service with extraordinary courage, resilience and tenacity of purpose adding that these enviable qualities have made him an inspiration to many.

Omo-Agege called the distinguished Senator Peter Nwaoboshi popularly hailed as ‘Oracle’ a man of many parts who has been in political limelight for 41 years.

While reeling out Nwaoboshi’s impressive track records of public service which had seen him served in various capacities, the leader of APC caucus in the South-South geopolitical zone said Nwaoboshi has put attracting important developmental projects to his constituency and advancing the socio-economic development of Delta state at large, above personal gains.

He noted that his selflessness has endeared him to many and made him a beacon of inspiration to his people.

Senator Omo-Agege said, “For over 41 years, ‘the Oracle’ as he is popularly known, has served in different capacities. He was an aide to the Military Governor of the defunct Bendel State, Late Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia, he was Chairman of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Political Adviser to Governor James Ibori of Delta State, Commissioner for Agriculture and Special Duties in Delta State, two-term State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, and Chairman of the Raw Materials Research and Development Council.

“He was first elected Senator in 2015 and reelected in 2019 where he has been serving as Chairman, Senate Committee on Niger Delta.

“In all these positions, Nwaoboshi has been an inspiration to his people, working tirelessly to attract important development projects to his constituency and advance the socio-economic development of Delta state.”

The Deputy Senate President celebrates the Distinguished Senator representing Delta North and Ide of Okpanam wishing him perfect health, wisdom and the joy of attaining a new age.

He said: “Today, we celebrate the birthday of the Distinguished Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District and the Ide of Okpanam, Senator (Barr.) Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi on the special occasion of his 62nd birthday.

“Senator Nwaoboshi has devoted his life to public service with extraordinary courage, resilience and tenacity of purpose. We appreciate his commitment and the incredible amount of work he has done.

“On behalf of the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, I send my congratulations and best wishes to the Distinguished Senator and thank him for his continuing selfless service to humanity and the nation as he celebrates his birthday.

“I wish you perfect health, wisdom and the joy of attaining a new age”, he said.
