With less than three months to the exit of most serving Governors, the deputy Senate President and the Delta All Progressive Congress, APC Guber Aspirant, Ovie Omo-Agege has alerted Nigerians and the people of Delta in particular on how the current serving state Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa recklessly spent a whooping sum of #4.2trillion on shadow projects.

Omo-Agege who made this revelation during his ward to ward campaign on Thursday, disclosed that the over seven and half years of Dr. Okowa’s administration, the state has received a humongous #4.2trillion with corresponding visible projects on ground.

The Deputy Senate President stated that the huge amount of unaccounted funds, accrued to the state through federal allocation, 13% derivation funds and with over #400billion borrowed by the current administration.

The Guber Aspirant who expressed appreciation to the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike for disclosing that another #260billion was disbursed to Delta state being an account of shortfall payment.
Omo-Agege disclosed that all these came to the total of #4.2trillion that has accrued to the state.

He noted dismay that despite the receipt of this huge amount of money, the state still experienced infrastructural decay as roads littered with gullies and pot holes abound in virtually every nooks and crannies.

The Deputy Senate President also observed that in the over seven years administration of Dr. Okowa, no new roads was constructed in the state, adding that the only job done were merely patching of roads and remedial works offered to some unknown mushroom firms.

He further stated that these remedial works on most of the roads failed after three months to the chagrin and disappointment of the beneficiaries.
The Governorship Aspirant however disclosed that the only surviving set of roads were constructed by the Chief James Ibori’s administration
He declared that these are some of the anomalies the incoming APC led administration in the state would remedy upon assumption of office this year.
