The sad news filtered in early morning of Sunday (11th December, 2022) that the business mogul, Olaolu Mudashiru, aged 50, the co founder and deputy managing director VEVITA, one of the front line capital management was killed in a fatal car accident.

The New Diplomat learnt that the late renowned business man was riding a bicycle with a team of cyclists, a routine morning exercise along Gerrad road, Ikoyi in Lagos when a drunken Driver ( names withheld for security reasons) reportedly rammed into him.

According to an impeccable source, Mudashiru gave up the ghost barely few hours he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

The late Olaolu was until his death, a trained medical Doctor and son of the former Lagos State military administrator, Late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru.

However, conflicting reactions have continued to trail the sudden demise of the vibrant and amiable business man. While reasonable percentage of Nigerians and friends alike indicted him for engaging in such misadventure, cycling on Nigerian roads where handful of the road users have been reported to be insane.

Conversely, Associates and sympathisers insisted that agencies charged with the responsibility of overseeing reckless driving on Nigerian roads must be urgently regulated.
