According to the communiqué, the appointments are to take effect immediately subject to screening and confirmation by the State House of Assembly in cases where that requirement is compulsory.

The announcement would be the second to be made on Friday.

Earlier, on the same day, Okpebholo had announced former house of assembly member, Ganiu Audu, as his Chief of Staff.

Before his appointment, Dr. Iyamu was the Chief Executive Officer of Gabbem Integrated Services Ltd, specialising in marine equipment and services.
