Said he: “The Honourable Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Mary Iyasere has done the needful at the right time by hosting the unity meeting of Ethiope East PDP leadership at her country home. I was impressed and happy as major stakeholders showed up to speak against division and unnecessary factionalization.”

Also commenting on the effort of the Commissioner, Chief Michael Adiotomre, Chief Bernard Edewor, Rt. Hon. Sunny Emeyese, Olorogun Barrister Arthur Akpowowo, Dr. Blessing Enamuotor, Chief Soso Enakerakpor, Chief Mrs Faith Majemite and many other chieftains of the party stressed on the need to keep the party united for Gov Okowa and to ensure that all hands were on deck to engage eligible voters as we gradually navigate towards the election year.

The meeting was timely and participants passed a vote of confidence on Gov Okowa for his enviable performance and achievements in office within a short period of two years and also commended the state party chairman, Olorogun Barrister Kingsley Esiso for his highly proactive, dynamic and result oriented political leadership.

Oghenesive further disclosed that Ethiope East PDP unity meeting has resolved to rally round the LGA political leader, Chief Bernard Edewor who has demonstrated uncommon leadership skills, selfless service and patriotism in growing the party at the local level, adding that the integrity, maturity and humility of Edewor have endeared him to the hearts of the vast majority of PDP faithfuls in the LGA.

“The existing PDP party structure in Ethiope East is perfect and Chief Edewor who hosted the last Delta Central monthly PDP meeting remains the rallying point in the LGA party politics which is why we must further encourage him and join hands together to mobilize the electorate for our great party and Gov Okowa come 2019 general elections,” Oghenesivbe added.
