The Delta State Government has reportedly finalized arrangementsĀ  to present Staff of Office to the Orusuen (King) of Okere-Urhobo Warri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Emmanuel Okumagba, Okumagba ll, next week week Tuesday, January 6th.

The event is billed to hold at the Orusuen palace in Warri, the commercial hub of Delta state.

It would be recalled that the selection, confirmation and eventual decision to present aĀ  staff of office to Okumagba llĀ  was premised on an approval granted by the Delta State Executive Council chaired by Governor Okowa.

The new monarch succeeds HRM Prof. Paul Oghenero Okumagba, Idama II, who joined his ancestors in July 2019.

Until his demise, the late monarch was a retired professor of Sociology at the department ofĀ  Sociology Department, Delta State University, Abraka.
