Early results on Sunday show Professor Charles Soludo, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra election has established a massive lead ahead of his main rivals in the poll as he won in six Local Government Areas in the Southeast state.

According to election results declared so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo emerged victorious in Njikoka, Orumba South, Anaocha, Awka South, Onitsha South and Anambra East.

Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are currently trailing the APGA’s candidate, while many of the remaining 15 candidates on the ballot have simply dissappeared into thin air, election results showed.

Anambra has 21 LGAs and results from 15 LGAs are still being awaited amid a continuation of the voting exercise today in areas where hitches were experienced Saturday.
