The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has picked Delta state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as running mate.

This announcement was made by Atiku while addressing members of the Board of Trustees (BoT) at the party headquarters on Thursday.

 

Atiku in his address said he chose Okowa as his running mate after consulting with all organs of the party.

He explained that his choice of Okowa was made after he carefully examined the qualities that could complement him as a President.

He said he wished all those recommended persons to work with him were qualified but he settled for someone who has the potential to succeed me”.

“I am delighted to announce Governor Ifeanyi Okowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I’m pleased to announce the one that will be by my side. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. As One We Can Get It Done.”
