The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Oyo State Governor and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Seyi Makinde, as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

The state Resident Electoral Commission, Tella Adeniran, declared Makinde the winner of the poll on Sunday.

Makinde won in 31 out of the 33 local governments in the State to defeat Senator Teslim Folarin of All Progressive Congress (APC) and Chief Adebayo Adelabu of Accord party.
