The Spokesman of the All Progressive Congress( APC), Presidential campaign and minister of state for labour, Barrister Festus Keyamo has described the endorsements of both former President Olusegun Obasanjo and South South leader, Chief Edwin Clerk as the preferred presidential candidate for the forthcoming general elections.

The minister who made this declaration few hours ago in a television program on Tuesday, said that Obasanjo’s endorsement has remain an indictment on the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubaka.

He stated that if the principal of Atiku would publicly denied him, it shows that the party doesn’t have a chance in the forthcoming general elections.

Kayemo averred that the endorsement of presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubaka in 2019 was because Peter Obi was Vice President to him, adding that the since Obi has moved to another political party, Obasanjo’s endorsement has shifted.

The APC presidential spokesman also stated that Chief Clerk’s endorsement of the LP presidential candidate was in consonance with an earlier agreement with the PANDEF to support Peter Obi’s presidential aspiration based on the regional arrangement to have an Igbo President in 2023.

Kayemo said that the political permutations tilted to the the favour of the APC as the PDP votes would be shared into two, between Atiku Abubaka and Peter Obi.

He assured that it would be a win win situation in whichever way the G-5 Governors decide to go with their electoral support in the general elections.

According to him, if the G-5 Governors decide to support the APC it be a bonus but if they opted for another political party, it also divide the total votes of the PDP.
Kayemo declared that the political coast is clear for the electoral victory of the presidential candidate of the APC.
