The presidential media aide, Garba Shehu has took to his social media to respond to calls and rumours circulating the social media yesterday regarding the health of President Buhari.

“Baseless rumors are trending again that an unpleasant thing has happened to our beloved President, Muhammadu Buhari,” Garba Shehu.

Garba added “if you have received this information on WhatsApp or Facebook, disregard it because it is plain lies spread by vested interests to create panic.”

The presidential media aide further said “nothing unpleasant has happened to the President. No cause for apprehension.”

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari immediately left Nigeria for London for medical follow up with his doctors after seeing and talking to the 82 freed Chibok girls by the Boko Haram after prisoner exchange in the negotiation before the girls were released.

Garba Shehu ended the statement by thanking the concerned and patriotic citizens who called to share their concern on the said rumour.
