  • Advises Buhari To Retire Outside Nigeria
  • Knocks Lai Mohammed “For Reaping Where He Didn’t Sow

By Charles Adingupu

Despite concerted efforts being made by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to convince Nigerians and the world that President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration recorded unprecedented achievements, a Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima has lampooned the scorecard of the President.

Mr Galadima who was reacting to a statement credited to the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina that Buhari has served Nigeria meritoriously well and will not be leaving Nigeria the way he met it, said it would have been better for the President to leave Nigeria exactly the same way he met it.

The NNPP Chieftain who in an interview at the Arise TV Morning Show on Wednesday, advised President Buhari to retire outside Nigeria because the quantum of criticisms upon his exit from power would give him heart attack

“Today how much is one dollar to naira? In 2015 when Buhari assumed the mantle of leadership, it was about #157 to a dollar. But now it’s within the range of #800. How much was a bag of rice? It was about #7,000 before he came in as President. Today, a bag of rice sells for #45,000-#50,000.

” Before he came into power, insecurity was contained in the north. But today, insecurity has become a national calamity as you cannot travel from one town to another with your two eyes closed.

“Today, Nigerians are more divided along ethnic and religious lines. There’s so much mistrust and bitterness in the land. Hence, I said it would have been better if he had left Nigeria the way he met it in 2015,” he said.

The party Chieftain lampooned the Information Minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed for brandishing Buhari as the best President Nigeria ever had following his recorded achievements.

“Lai has never been a politician. Likes reaping from where he did not sow. The people in Lagos and Kwara are anxiously waiting for him,” he said.

Mr Galadima who fought doggedly to ensure the election victory of President Buhari in 2015, advised the President elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to discard those pretending to be protecting him by giving Ambassadorial appointment outside the country.

The NNPP Chieftain posited that those fake loyalists would pull down the Tinubu’s government if he allowed them to remain around him.

On why NNPP did not go to court to challenge the outcome of the just concluded general elections, Galadima said the party was defeated because its logo was defaced and that left their supporters confused at the poll.

“But we don’t want to destabilize the incoming government by dragging them to the Court or Tribunal even when we have every reasons to do so. We know there are some people waiting in the wings to enthroned an Interim National Government (ING),” he disclosed.

Mr Galadima also stated that he has forgiven Buhari for dumping him immediately he won the 2015 presidential election, adding that his religion, Islam, preaches forgiveness.
