The Federal High Court Abuja has adjourned Court trial of the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu till November 10.
Kanu appeared before the court on Thursday amid heavy presence of security operatives.
During court hearing, Kanu pleaded not guilty when the amended seven-count charge of the Federal government was read to him.
Recall office of the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice had on Monday filed an amended seven-count charge before the Federal High Court in Abuja in connection with the ongoing trial of Kanu.
Kanu’s lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor prayed the court to transfer his client from the DSS custody to Kuje Correctional Centre, on the grounds that Kanu is being allegedly subjected to mental and physiological torture.
However, the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako in her ruling turned down the request, and granted an order that the agitator remains in the custody of the DSS.
The judge further adjourned Court hearing till November 10, 2021.
