Nigerians have begun to react as unproven and unsubstantiated reports on Sunday which have gone viral suggest that popular Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs may have passed on.

According to unproven reports trending on various news channels indicate that the veteran actor reportedly breathed his last on Sunday, June 30, at the age of 82.

While the details of the unproven report remains sketchy as of press time the multiple award-winning actor has been battling dementia for some time.

In a recent interview, his wife Joke Silva said her husband’s poor health had changed him significantly, adding that Olu Jacobs is no longer the man she walked down the aisle with 37 years ago.

The New Diplomat reports that some of the veteran Nollywood actors who have passed away in 2024 include Amaechi Muonagor, John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu and ace Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri.

It would be recalled also that John Pope passed away in a boat accident that occurred in April.
