In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the user shared a screenshot showing the recent cost of a one-month visa. According to the snapshot, the subtotal for the visa charge is N687,484.39, with an additional 7.5% value added tax (VAT) of N515.61.

It would be recalled that the federal government of Nigeria and the government of the UAE recently reached an agreement to resume travel for Nigerian passport holders starting from July 15, 2024.

This announcement was made on Monday by Nigeria’s Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammad Idris.

Idris stated that the positive development resulted from successful and extensive high-level negotiations between the two countries’ authorities.

“The agreement includes updated controls and conditions to facilitate obtaining a UAE visa. The resumption of visas will be effective from July 15, 2024,” Idris said.
