Troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE with assistance of local vigilante arrested Abba Go Dallagio, Abba Fanned and Alhaji Nwariye who are suspected members of the Boko Haram terrorists group at the cattle market, Maiduguri, Borno State.

According to acting Director Army Public Relations Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, preliminary investigation shows that the suspected terrorists entered into Maiduguri through Mafa with about 200 cows for sale at Maiduguri cattle market. “The suspects further stated that they are part of logistics elements of the Boko Haram terrorists group that assist in selling cows for the insurgents” Usman said.

The Army spokesman said the terrorists claimed that proceeds are remitted to the group to fund their nefarious activities. “So far, troops have identified and isolated 23 cows at the cattle market” Usman said.
Meanwhile one of the terrorists agent and spy at the cattle market, Alhaji Ajid Umar, has also been arrested. “A total of 170 cows were isolated in connection with him” Usman said.

All the suspects are in undergoing preliminary investigation.
