Some Nigerian celebrities like David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, comedian Debo Adebayo a.k.a Mr Macaroni, and other celebrities have expressed their sadness over the attack on St Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State where scores of worshippers including women and children were mowed down.

It was learnt that the sad incident happened in the church, which is less than 200 meters away from the Palace of Olowo of Owo.

Reacting to the attack that led to the loss of about 40 lives, Davido called on Jesus to take control.

On his Twitter page on Sunday, Davido wrote, “Jesus take control. Pray for Nigeria. RIP to all the lost souls. #prayforondo. This is too much.

Mr Macaroni tweeted, “Just reading that St Francis Church in Ondo State has been attacked! Multiple people have been killed! I’m not even sure of the numbers.

“I saw a part of the video and I couldn’t even watch till the end! Is there no longer value for human life in Nigeria? Goodness!

“How can you just kill people like this? How? Like their lives mean nothing! What should happen to their families? Their loved ones, friends, colleagues?

“What has happened to the right of every citizen to life? There is no justification for this madness!”

Rapper Eva Alordiah tweeted, “Every day, it’s a new sad story that could have been avoided. Unnecessary evils and waste of life all around.

“So very sad! Sending love to everyone who is hurting right now. May Nigeria not happen to us and the ones we love.”

“No! What terrible news is this!”, rapper Ladipoe lamented on his Twitter page.

Meanwhile, the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has vowed to bring the perpetrators of the attack to book.
