Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen made his Bundesliga debut for his club Wolfsburg as they drew 1-1 with Borussia Moenchengladbach.
The former Golden Eaglets striker made the Wolfsburg matchday in recent times but was given his Bundesliga bow when he replaced Daniel Didavi in the 59th minute.
Osimhen, who was the top scorer at the 2015 Fifa World Cup in Chile has seen his career blighted by injuries and it stalled his progress with the German club whom he moved to last season.
He has since recovered and was included Wolfsburg last two Bundesliga games but finally got to make his debut against Moenchengladbach.
Jannick Vestergaard put the visitors ahead in the 24th minute before veteran German striker Mario Gomez equalised for Wolfsburg in the 58th minute.
The game was stopped temporarily due to adverse weather conditions but there were no further goals as the Nigerian striker was booked in 89th minute.
Touted as one of the best young strikers in the world, it is expected that the lanky striker, who was called up by Nigeria for the Corsica friendly, will be a part and parcel of the Wolfsburg team next season.
