15 lives were lost to the rampaging Covid-19 infection in Nigeria, Tuesday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed.

The 15 additional deaths in the past 24 hours, have taken the Covid death toll in the country to 1,522.

The NCDC also confirmed 1303 cases of the contagion, taking the tally of infections in the country to 124,299.

The country has so far tested 1,270,523 people since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was recorded on February 27, 2020 in the country.

It noted that the additional 1,303 new COVID-19 infections were reported from 25 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

NCDC said it has partnered with the Federal Ministry of Health to produce a handbook for home-based care of Covid-19 in the country.

With 46,162 COVID-19 infections and 294 deaths recorded, Lagos State remains Nigeria’s worst-hit city, followed by FCT, which has recorded 16,056 cases and 121 deaths

The 1303 new cases are reported from 25 states and FCT.
