The atmosphere of Agulu, Anambra, the home town of the Labour Party, LP presidential candidate, Peter Obi was relatively calm as villagers troop out in their numbers to vote in their presidential candidate.

Obi who wants to feel the free pushing air in the slippery village, took a walk within his immediate community, exchanging pleasantries and banters with his kinsmen, perhaps in an apparent move to douse pent up tension.

But in the midst of all the election crisis, Obi told journalists who were angling to interview him, said, nothing will change about me as a President.

“I will still be the Obi you have known. You can still take pictures with me if you want. Otherwise, it’s pointless engaging in this race.

“I want to serve the people and not to be served. I want to take people out of poverty,” he said.
However, the native home of the LP presidential candidate, Agulu, has produced renowned credible leaders for Nigeria.

The likes of late Professor Dora Akuyili, former Director General of the National Agency For Food, Drug And Administration (NAFDAC) Stella Odua and renowned politicians, Emordi.

Obi is already set to cast his vote at Agulu but officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC are still busy putting finishing touches to commence the voting exercise.
