- Urges INEC Staff To Be Patient
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso casted his vote in a polling unit in Kano.
The polling unit which was bare without a canopy to shelter voters and staff of the INEC, again contradicts the electoral law that states “Secret ballots.”
Kwankwaso who was surrounded by huge number of supporters, noted that the BVAs were very slow.
He urged staff of the INEC to be patient with the voters so that the process would be seamless.
The NNPC presidential candidate expressed fear that a huge number of his supporters may be disenfranchised if the BVAs crisis persist.
He stated that the scenario playing out at his polling unit may be analogous to what obtains in other areas in the state.
The presidential candidate expressed optimism of winning the election at the end of the voting exercise.
