Chairman Governing Board of NDDC, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has commended Nigeria’s indigenous car manufacturing company, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Group on their skills acquisition programme, just as he indicated the commission’s interest in partnering with them in the training of Niger Delta youths.

This was made known when the Executive Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma and his Management team paid him a courtesy visit at his office in Abuja.

Ndoma-Egba commended Chief Chukwuma for his faith and belief in Nigeria by establishing a fully indigenous Multi Million Dollar Manufacturing business and assured that NDDC will support and patronize local production and enterprise as this creates jobs and gainful employment for the youths.

The NDDC Chairman further stated that the commission will patronize Innoson Motors by acquiring Refuse Disposal Trucks to assist the Nine Niger Delta Member States in refuse disposal and keeping their environments clean. He indicated NDDC’s interest in partnering with them in the training of Niger Delta youths. Responding , the Executive Chairman of Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma reinstated his commitment to continue to improve the quality of their products International standards.

Appealing to Government and its agencies to continue to patronize Made in Nigeria Products, Chief Chukwuma emphasized “if Government supports local production, Nigerian youths will be gainfully employed. He also added that at graduation, our youths should become Job Creators and not Job Seekers”. He therefore urged Nigerian youths to use their inherent abilities to create jobs for themselves instead of being job seekers.

Innoson Motors, an Indigenous Vehicle Manufacturing firm specialized in the manufacturing of waste disposal trucks, sedans, four-wheeled vehicles and buses, also has an ultra modern manufacturing plant located at Nnewi in Anambara state employing over 7,000 staff.
